DesignModo is a website filled with graphic design inspiration and ideas. With topics ranging from freebies to coding to inspiration, DesignModo has quickly built up a large archive of design articles in a relatively short period of time (they launched in August 2010).
Inspiration Articles
At the heart of DesignModo are articles featuring design examples in different categories. Often in the "30 Examples of..." format, the selected designs are generally of high quality, making DesignModo a good stop for some design inspiration. Recent articles include "25+ Inspiring iPad App Websites" and "35+ Amazing Coffee Websites." I would like to see a category list available, but a search function lets you find specific articles by keyword.
Design Freebies
One of the main navigation choices on DesignModo is "Freebies," providing a list of their articles with free design elements or downloads. These include wallpapers, user interface elements, brushes and Photoshop files.
Tutorials and Tips
DesignModo also has articles focused on design tips, business advice and tutorials. While a nice addition to the site that may build over time, I found the inspiration articles to be more valuable. Additional categories within those topics, as well as a larger collection of more in-depth articles, could make these sections more useful to designers.
