TeuxDeux is free to-do list software accessed through your web browser. The simple, user-friendly to-do list app allows you to create a to-do list by date and save to-do items for "someday."
Sign up for TeuxDeux is about as easy as it gets. Enter your email address, username, a password and choose a time zone, and as the app says it, "deux it." TeuxDeux is free, so you'll be creating to-do lists in about 10 seconds.
Creating To-Dos
TeuxDeux is calendar based, and after sign up you are presented with six days of the week, with the current day highlighted. Creating a to-do is easy. Just type something under the day you want and hit enter, and the to-do appears. You can edit to-dos by dragging them back into the edit window. You can then drag-and-drop to-dos to reorder them or even move them to different days. You can navigate the calendar using arrows or a calendar pop-up to jump to a specific day.
Completing To-Dos
Marking a to-do as completed is just as easy. Click on a to-do and it is crossed-off, but still there to see. If you want to delete it completely, crossed-off to-dos get an added "x" button to remove them from your list. From such a basic (but well-designed) to-do app, I really liked this added option as viewing completed to-dos is sometimes just as important as viewing unfinished ones.
Someday
Another nice feature of TeuxDeux is the "someday" list. Rather than associate a to-do with a specific day, you can drop it in "someday," a larger list at the bottom of the screen. You can even move "someday" to-dos into a specific day in the calendar if you decide to give them a deadline.
Conclusion? TeuxDeux is an excellent option for free, simple web-based to do lists. The site was designed by swissmiss and built by Fictive Kin.
