A List Apart is an online magazine that covers topics including design, code, content, culture, mobile, process and user science. The site focuses on web standards and best practices. The writers are made up of members of the design community and include designers, developers, architects, producers, project managers and various other industry specialists. Individuals can send in submissions to be considered for inclusion on the site.

Grain edit

Grain edit focuses on design work that was created during the 1950s-1970s and the work of modern day designers whose work is inspired by that time period. The site has interviews, articles, designers' libraries, rare design annuals, type specimens, posters and vintage children's books. The blog is written by founders and senior editors Dave C and Elizabeth Surya, editor Ethan Davis and editor Grace Danico.
