Are you a Mac or a PC?

Thursday October 8, 2009

I think we've all seen our fair share of Mac vs. PC commercials now... but all mudslinging aside, do you design on a Mac or a PC?

I design using Linux. Could you include that option in your poll?

I can use both but Mac programs are so expensive that it forces me to stick with my PC. I do like Macs. I totally see why designers want them. Left brain – right brain. I have yet to have a printer or customer know or complain that I use a PC. I remember the days 10 years ago when I hid my PC user status. On occasion I actually tell customers wanting me to use some crap Microsoft program to design that I use a Mac and can’t (because I despise all Microsoft programs). They fall for it.. I grin.

I use both, a MAC at work and a PC at home, running the same software. They both work fine, but the MAC seems to be able to do more with less RAM, processor speed, etc. I had to really load my PC at home to get the same performance out of it.
