I don't mean the kind that NY's MTA is trying to avoid with "Run, Don't Walk" signs. The Gothamist recently covered two type errors in the underground, one a rare spelling mistake dubbed a mystery and the other some lopsided (and fittingly so?) "Do not lean on door" stickers. With all the beautiful and well-designed signage (that I've blogged about before) you can't really blame the city for a couple of mistakes in a system that stretches for miles... and on a non-design-related note, one that a pair of friends recently traversed in record time. Enough subway links for you?
