Multicolour Search Lab by Idée

Tuesday November 25, 2008
Idée Labs developed an incredible tool for searching large sets of photos based on colors, known as Multicolour Search Lab. Two versions are available, one featuring 10 million images from Flickr and the other searching the Alamy Stock collection. The interface is simple... select up to 10 colors and let the system do the work. The results, however, are enough to wow even those who think there's nothing new and cool left on the Internet. Search Lab returns photos made up of your color selections, with amazing accuracy. It's a great tool for searching stock images, getting inspiration or just entertaining yourself when bored.

This is not only practical, but a lot of fun to use! I love seeing the photos change with every click of a new color. It’s amazing how spot-on the colors are, too. I’m very impressed – this will definitely help bloggers and designers looking for that just-right photo.
