Career Paths: Web Design
If you choose to apply your graphic design talents to the web, you're certainly putting yourself in a good position in terms of what companies are looking for. Many don't just want a print designer anymore, they want someone who can then design their website or at least work directly with a web team to create a consistent brand.
Web design also presents many challenges that are very different from those faced in other graphic design fields. An understanding of web technologies is essential when designing websites. Even if a designer chooses not to develop or program sites, it's important to know that what you are passing on to the developer is a functional and user-friendly design that will translate well online.

Print designers that want to go into web design can do this without learning how to do HTML / code.
Here’s two ways you can do it:
1) Creating PSD designs of websites and outsourcing the code to a good value service like Psd2HTML.com that slices it up for you and cuts the code
2) Create your designs and outsource the HTML and any coding to a website like RentACoder.com
