The Olympic Logo

Olympic logos (of some sort) date back to 1896. I found a full list of them and couldn't help but pick my favorites... Mexico '68, Montreal '76 and L.A. '84 (maybe just because it takes me back). The most recent ones aren't doing as much for me, though London 2012 certainly is different. What are you favorites?

Yes many of those are fine. Atenas 2004 is very good i like that logo too much.

Thank you! I didn’t like the London logo - but I do love the clean Montreal one, the classic russian one, and the amazingly creative and kind of “informal” australian logo!
Man, that London logo is BRUTAL.
The main problem with the London Olympics logo is it cost £400,000 and took 6 months to design! I think it’s irresponsible of the client to use such a large budget and get such a poor outcome.
These sort of projects are perfect for logo design contest format. A budget of that size would get an amazing result through the open brief business model.
