Working in graphic design is great... but it's still a business and I'm sure all of us have something we don't like about it. Share your LEAST favorite part of being a designer below, or add others in the comments.

Amazing! I just saw your email on the day I told my ‘boss’ ’supervisor’ off!
I’ve been working with a store in Downtown Brooklyn for 1 1/2 years doing all types of design work: brochures, forms, logos, etc. and it’s been interesting. We work with a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ and no signatures.
Now the store wanted a brochure. Well, I clocked (I work by hour) 40 hours for this brochure! They kept adding items (They sell a lot of items) and removing. Changing this, then that.
When I sent the bill - forget it! They don’t want to pay! “Never paid so much for a brochure!” Most we’ve ever paid is $450. You’ll get $450. The total was $1,600 according to my hours.
Finally, after fruitless discussion and depression (On my part-they’re friendly to me.) I received some advice.
I called my supervisor and told him to forget everything. I can’t work for you any more. If you pay me fine. I won’t accept $450. We’ve had a friendly, working relationship before. I hung up the phone on him.
Now I’m waiting. Someone told me to do this bec. another person, in another field had a similar incident. Afterwards, the client, feeling guilty, paid him.
Better, for sure, to work with a contract or signatures. I’ve been friendly with everyone in this big and busy store.
Am I a fool? Perhaps. This is the largest charge I’ve ever given them.
Patience?
Thanks for reading this! Have a very great and prosperous day!
