It's amazing that one man created so many logos that we see everyday. He also influenced generations of designers through his unique style. Who are your favorite graphic designers, past and present?

I think that Paul Rand is clearly the most influential designer to date. He is widely considered to be the father of graphic design. I think the lesson to be learned from Paul Rand is that in many situations a logo or layout doesn’t need bells and whistles. What I take from his design is that he creates, for example, logos that are simple yet intuitive and unique.
I agree! less is more when it comes to logos. Say it with color!
rand has done some absolutely amazing work… but i think my vote goes for chip kidd for my all-around personal favorite… the cheese monkeys will remain one of my favorite books of all time.
We like Saul Bass work, especially his movie posters and opening credits in movies.
